Tioman Island

Tioman is definitely a popular island
in Malaysia where many have visited and heard of.

Journey is approx. 3 hour from Singapore by coach but the only setback is the 2hr ferry ride from Tanjong Gemok Jetty. Prepare your seasick pills :)

This time round, we engaged a travel agency to plan our trip there and it was pretty affordable.

Here is the link to the travel agency's web that I have trusted .

Berjaya Tioman Resort is in a very big area. The rooms are good enough for me, a few stones throw away from the beach. There is a game room to entertain yourselves too. :) Not forgetting the gym . The pool side is in a pretty setting, overlooking the beach and u can soak while enjoying the sun set.

If you do not wanna spend so much on food, there is a small warong right outside the hotel compound. Good and cheap but service may take awhile.

I engaged a private driver for a day while I was there. And he brought us around in his jeep ( is that what its called?)
I had a blast standing at the back, my face being smacked by branches countless of times :0

Moments before being smacked by leaves and my friend here have already dodged it without warning  me.

He brought us to a few locations, pics below. I would not suggest taking this private trip without men by ur side. my mom, my girl friend and myself was pretty
intimidated by the driver. Aside from the driver's appearance, he brought us to a small waterfall, deep inside the forest and making us climb down steep man made trail.. It was actually pretty scary cuz my mom thought his other friends may be waiting . Thank god nothing happened. Lols.

There are many duty free shops around the island. And mom went crazy. Me?Not so much. Hehe.

We got free snorkelling package with the hotel but it wasnt a good day for it. The current was super strong and pulled me and my friend away into the middle of the sea in matter of seconds. Thank god there was a boat in sight who came to 'rescue' us.

I love Malaysia Islands cuz aside from being cheap, its really beautiful. Do look out for my next posts on my little travels, many more islands that I have visited.Have a great weekend!
